D is for Dinner: Guacamole Recipe and Homemade Pizza!

First, what the hell WordPress? What do you think you’re doing? Haven’t you learned to stop fixing things that aren’t broken? First you change the stats page, that now sucks and barely makes any sense to me any now you guys are changing up the post editor? There are so many hoops to jump through that is isn’t even worth it. The thing that bothers me most about this new editor  is that the entire new arrangement is flipped! Now all of the tags and categories and options are flipped and it just seems to weird typing with things like this. It pretty much has the same theme as the stats page.

Oh well. I’ll just suck it up and deal with it for now.

Sorry, I just couldn’t contain myself from having a rant about this page because when I saw it I was just so annoyed by it. However I did make it fit today’s letter, so does that mean I get extra creative points?  Haha, no? …okay then.

My boyfriend and I have been cooking dinners a lot together lately and it has been so much fun. I feel like sometimes it is so much better than actually going out to a restaurant where you just sit there for a while and talk. Cooking together requires so much more. We have to decide what to make, go to the store and buy stuff together and then do the actual making. It is so much fun. We learn a lot from each other and even have to work together. Once it is done, we get to enjoy what we made together!

In the past we have made tortellinis, macaroni and cheese, quesadillas and Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta (aka Joey’s favorite thing 20150403_191455ever, which was a recipe I tried from Pintrest, you can find it here, seriously try it today). However last night is what I wanted to talk about today.

Last night we did homemade pizzas and they came out super cheesy and yummy!

Oh! And we made our own guacamole to enjoy while we were waiting for the dough to rise.

Here is how we made it, it came out super yummy:

Throw into a bowl:

  • 2 Avocados
  • 1 diced vine tomato
  • diced onion (we used like a quarter of the onion)
  • a pinch of salt

Once they are all “thrown into the bowl” smash together with two forks or a potatoes smasher. Either way works fine, we did both.

For the pizza we did half and half. Joey made his half buffalo chicken and I made mine Hawaiian (ham and pineapple). Plus, we were so adventurous last night that we made our own stuffed crust!

20150403_193829To make the stuffed crust Joey sprinkled cheese around the edge of the crust and the I rolled the crust around the cheese, tucking it under.

After the crust was in place we went ahead and “decorated the pizza” and then put it into the oven for twenty minutes.

Before:                                                                  After:

Yay! It came out so yummy! We had a really fun night together and made delicious food. Let me know what your favorite thing to make is and maybe we will try it out!

  1. Homemade guacamole is probably one of my favorite things on the planet. Looks like a super yummy pizza, too!
Also, totally get what you mean about WordPress trying to make everything easier but actually just messing it up. The old Dashboard was just fine, thank you!

  2. That pizza looks amazing!! One of my favourites to make is Lasagne, because l know without a doubt it’s one thing everyone in the family will eat!
