Wine Tour!

HI friends!

I had quite an exciting weekend. This weekend I went with all of my friends on a wine tour for the first time! I had so much fun and tried so many different kinds of wines and it felt like I expanded my horizons as far as the types of wine that I like! Plus, I really missed my friends a lot and we all had such a great day together! I took some pretty cool pictures throughout the day and thought that I would share them here!

I learned that wine country is a beautiful and delicious place! I took pictures of most, but not all of the wineries and also of the pretty scenery!

Since this was my first time doing this sort of thing it made it so much more fun since I had no clue what I was in store for. It was also the first time for my friends too, so we were all taking it all in together which was so cool! We were celebrating my friend’s birthday since she was the last one in the group to turn 21!

Her mom planned the whole thing and she did a wonderful job, we rented one of those giant airport vans to drive around in and brought tons of food and drinks to have in the van while we drove all over to about six different wineries.

One thing that I would say is that you have to be careful drinking so much so early in the day because it tends to wipe you out! What I did was drink tons of water in the van between stops in order to stay hydrated. Also, keep snacking and eating! Drinking on an empty stomach is not a good idea. You just have to remember to take care of yourself so that you don’t regret it later!

It was so much fun, I cannot wait to do another one.

Date Night By the Lake

The best kinds of nights are the ones that are not particularly planned. Those are the ones where the most fun is had, the ones where you get to explore new things and go somewhere you haven’t gone before. Joey and I had one of those nights the other day and I thought I’d share some of it with you! Especially since I actually took a few good photos.

We took a little mini road trip, up to Oswego and explored their little downtown area they have. All of the buildings and shops they are all around are so precious. I love that kind of atmosphere. Talking about it now makes me wish that I took more pictures than I did.

We went to this really cool restaurant for dinner. Their food was delicious but their drink menu was even better! If you can see in the picture, they have drinks for each of the 7 deadly sins, I thought that was so cool. I got the “sloth” which is the martini looking thing on the right and Joey got the Molotov Cocktail. They were both so good! After we finished those drinks we both wanted to try some of “Creepy Uncle Eddie’s Iced Tea”, like I said the menu was pretty cool and funny.

After dinner we walked around the city a bit. I saw this building and thought it looked pretty cool and wanted to take a picture of it. I just liked the colors of it and how it looked so old. Right after I finished with the picture, we saw a sign right to the left of the building telling us about how that building was part of the underground railroad. So that’s a pretty fun fact!

We kept walking around and exploring, I took this photo on a bridge, I really loved the colors on the sky in this one.

Here’s another one I took when the sunset was even brighter.  This one was from another bridge that was a few blocks further away than the one above. That bridge that you can see in this picture, was the one that we were standing on in the one above.

After  we explored, we headed toward their cinema and watched Paper Towns! I was so excited for the movie but Joey basically knew nothing about it. Turns out he loved the movie as much as I loved the book, which I was quite pleased with. It turned out to be such a great night!

Currently…

currently

This post is something that has been brewing in my head for a little while now and I am finally doing it! This is a cute little post that will basically sum up what I have been doing/ what has been on my mind!

Reading…

These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Megan Spooner. This was the book I chose out of my TBR jar. I still haven’t gotten that far yet but it is pretty decent. I plan on reading today and trying to make a dent on it today and tomorrow too!

Isn’t the cover so pretty?

Watching…

On netflix my boyfriend and I started watching Continuum. We are like 4 episodes in and it is pretty good so far, I really like the idea of the time travel and the entire plot I think it is so interesting.

Also, one of my favorite shows on actual TV right now is The Whispers. I really like this show a lot. It just started this year and I really hope everyone else likes it too because I really want to get another season! Everyone needs to go watch it online and love it as much as I do. I feel like the concept is so intriguing and unique, I haven’t seen another show like it before.

Listening to…

Lots of Spotify! I listen to it all the time sometimes I put on play lists and sometimes just my own music but it is such an awesome app. More particularly, I have been enjoying Echosmith lately.

Eating…

All sorts of things! But the other day I tried a new thing on my break at work that I thought was worth mentioning. Luna Bars. I tried the cookie dough one and it was so delicious! I want to eat them all the time now. They are so yummy and they fill you up and keep you going for a while too.

Wanderlusting…

Aurora Village Yellowknife, Canada My boyfriend told me about this place and it is bucket list worthy. I need to go there so badly. I have always been obsessed with wanting to see the Northern Lights and this is the absolute perfect place to see them!

Please take me there! 100% something that needs to be on my bucket list and has to happen.

Look how beautiful! What better way to see them than in teepees?

Thankful for…

My family. I had an awesome family filled weekend and went to my family reunion and they are just all so awesome. I am so lucky to have my family something that I feel we sometimes take for granted.

What are some of the things that you are currently into?

What a Yucky Day!

gloom

Today I woke up and it was so gross outside. It made me literally want to do absolutely nothing all day, which I did basically do all day like the lazy bum I am. I mean that’s okay because it wasn’t for the WHOLE day, and it is my day off! You know what I mean though, it was just a gloomy nasty day that was so gross you don’t want to do anything!

Here is what I ended up doing on my boring lazy day off and/or what you can to on your gloomy days:

watch youtube videos

I love yoututube, I mean who doesn’t right? Some of my favorites to watch lately are the SaconeJolys, Alfie and Zoella (obviously), Hannah Hart, Good Mythical Morning and The Vlog brothers I could go on and on and on because youtube is basically a black hole that you can get lost in forever.

Go check out the links if you haven’t already but those are just a few youtubers that I could watch for hours at a time!

Pamper yourself

Take a long shower. Shave your legs. Wear a face mask. Paint your nails. Do your hair and makeup. ect. ect.

Look good, feel good, do good! ~That’s my motto!

Write

Just take some time to let out your thought onto paper on your computer. Make lists. Of anything really, I am a big list person I find that it is actually really helpful and also the act of actually crossing something off is so fulfilling.

Read that book you’ve been meaning to read

I have been reading the Shatter Me series and am on the last book and for some reason this one is the hardest one for me to get through. It is still pretty good but I’m not as excited about it as I was about the other ones. I have about 100 pages left until I’m done now and then I am planning on doing a series review on it, so I’m trying not to spoil anything here. I really do recommend it though, click the little linky above!

Take a nap

I actually JUST woke up and started blogging. I randomly took an hour long nap because I felt tired and I fell right asleep. When I woke up, I felt SO good! It was so refreshing! I couldn’t tell you the last time I took a nap but today it turned out really well and I felt so rested. Plus they are good for you!

Also, the SUN CAME OUT woo hoo! I noticed out my window when I woke up but not that I am almost done with the post it is like a full on blue sky, so that’s awesome! It is about 5 o’clock here so I’m going to go and try to enjoy the rest of the evening!

Hope you guys enjoyed ❤

Weekend Coffee Share #2 – Love and Alcohol

Good morning!

This morning I am drinking my coffee out of my super cool Supernatural Mug. Last weekend and the weekend before that, I wanted to do this post too, but I thought it would have been dumb if I wasn’t drinking coffee at the time. I don’t know I am probably just weird about stuff like that. But! With coffee in hand, here I am!

So! I came on actual WordPress today for the first time in a few days (I have been using the app on my phone) and I noticed that WordPress is now full of pride! You see that rainbow up there too right? How wonderful. I am so happy that this step is finally being made.

I know that there is a lot of controversy surrounding gay marriage but it is something I have a hard time understanding. I know that the bible is against it, but I really don’t see how it is the worst thing ever. My entire life I have always been so confused why one type of love is celebrated and another was illegal. I have always thought that everyone should be able to love whoever they want. Is that a crime? No one is getting hurt and is you don’t like it don’t be a part of it, but I am happy that everyone is free to do what they please. At the end of the day love is love.

I wasn’t planing on talking about this but I saw the rainbow and just had to say something! (if you’re not from WordPress, and you just managed to get here there is a rainbow across the WordPress nav bar) I really don’t want a silly debate or anything like that.

So anyways, this has been a pretty eventful week, I turned 21 on Tuesday and it had been the first birthday where I have actually felt different. I feel like more of an adult now and more mature. It is actually pretty cool. I have really enjoyed being able to order drinks at restaurants and getting ID-ed when I purchase alcohol. It has been cool because most people who ID me notice that it was recently my birthday and say happy birthday and are super cool.

Although I haven’t been drunk or anything I have been enjoying trying a bunch of new fun drinks! It is like a whole new door has opened up in my life and it has been pretty exciting.  I have a few friends who love drinking all the time, like, they are the type of people who drink to get drunk. I on the other hand, am very different from that. I like to drink to enjoy the beverage. My favorite things to drink so are are fruity drinks and wine. I like to sip on them because it is yummy delicious.

I guess that’s about it!

Also, I have a pile of future DIY projects to do in my room that will be turning into posts very soon! Plus, if there is anything else you might want to see, let me know down below!
